A robber known as the “Band-Aid Bandit,” who is suspected of hitting several stores and banks in Aurora since November, has struck again, the FBI said.
At about 4:40 p.m. Friday a TCF Bank, 1699 E. Quincy Ave., was robbed by the so-called Band-Aid Bandit, according to an FBI media release.
The robber wears “a band-aid over the bridge of his nose” and “black framed eye glasses,” the FBI said.
At the TCF robbery the bandit handed a note to a teller, demanding that a plastic grocery bag be filled with cash. The robber fled in a car.
At about 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 the bandit robbed the Bank of the West, 700 S. Abilene St., Aurora, the FBI said, and fled in a different vehicle.
