Rapist cop done killed himself

8 Oct

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Authorities say a former Grand Junction police officer accused of sexual assault in Mesa County has been found dead in a hotel room in Jefferson County, more than 200 miles away.

Jefferson County sheriff’s officials said Wednesday that 35-year-old Glenn Coyne had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The hotel’s housekeeping staff found Coyne’s body Tuesday.

Coyne had recently posted bond in Mesa County after being arrested last week on charges of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree burglary. He was fired after two years as a Grand Junction officer.

Authorities say Coyne was accused of assaulting a woman who called him for follow-up help after Coyne and other officers went to her house on a family matter.

Prison guard confronted for sexually assaulting teens

23 Sep

A Colorado corrections officer (screw) lured two teenage girls into his apartment, offered them alcohol and then sexually assaulted them on Friday in Loveland.

Their friend, who’s our new favorite hero, was with the girls when the screw lured them all in.  She turned down the alcohol and rescued her two friends from the apartment after he started to molest them.  Then she went back to the apartment to confront him, and he threatened to cut her throat.

He was placed on administrative leave from the prison.  Lucky for him, because if the inmates heard about this he could get his own throat cut.

Cross-dressed criminal escapes into the night

Denver Post:

A robber sporting a red or brown wig with curls and a dress robbed a bartender during a private party at the Red Lion Inn in Boulder last night.

The robber entered the Red Lion Inn at 38472 Boulder Canyon Drive at 11:20 p.m., pulled out a black gun and demanded money from the bartender, said [Sgt. Bill Crist of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department].

The bartender took money out of a cash register and gave it to the robber in drag. The robber fled on foot, Crist said.

Deputies closed down Boulder Canyon for two hours and notified residents within a mile radius around the Inn through a reverse-911 call about the robbery while they searched for the robber using K-9s, he said.

Boulder abortionist: “This is a civil war”

7 Aug

abc7: BOULDER — Abortion doctor Warren Hern says he’s been dealing with death threats for nearly 40 years.

In a profile to be published in Esquire’s September issue, Hern said he got hate mail and death threats in 1970 when he started working in family planning. Hern, a friend of slain Kansas doctor George Tiller, said the threats resumed in 1973 when he helped start Boulder’s first non-profit clinic.

“I started sleeping with a rifle by my bed. I expected to get shot,” Hern told the magazine.

Tiller was shot May 31 while serving as an usher at his church. Hern said Tiller’s death was the result of 35 years of “hate speech” against abortion providers, something he blames on anti-abortion politicians and commentators.

“This is not a debate, it’s a civil war. And the other people are using bullets and bombs,” Hern said.
